  • A free home assessment and a written support plan
  • The same support worker wherever possible

  • Medication reminders and prompting, properly recorded
  • Family updates by phone or email, with the person’s agreement
  • A clear written quote, no minimum contract, seven days’ notice to stop

Help for an older parent

You know your mum or dad does not need a carer to wash or dress them. They just need somebody reliable checking in, doing the shopping, making sure the tablets are taken and getting them out of the house.

That is exactly what we do. You get a named support worker, a written plan, and updates by phone or email whenever your parent agrees.

Who we help

Independent people who want a little practical support.

Older people living alone. Families arranging help for a parent. Unpaid carers who need a planned break. People coming home from hospital who can manage themselves but need shopping, meals and reassurance for a while. People with a Direct Payment or Personal Budget who want to choose their own support.

If your personal care is provided by family or by a registered care agency, we can still provide the practical and social support alongside it.

Our services

What we can help with.

Every visit is planned around you. Choose what you need; change it whenever your needs change.

01

Companionship and getting out

Conversation, hobbies, a walk, a trip to the shops or a club, a familiar face who turns up when they say they will.

02

Shopping, errands and prescriptions

Shopping with you or for you, collecting prescriptions and running errands, with every penny recorded and every receipt kept.

03

Meals, housekeeping and laundry

Preparing meals and drinks you enjoy, light housekeeping, laundry and changing the bed.

04

Appointments and community

Accompanying you to GP, hospital and other appointments, and to community activities, clubs and visits.

05

Medication reminders

Reminding and prompting you to take your own medicines, recorded on a proper chart, with your GP and pharmacy informed if you wish.

06

Carer breaks and support after hospital

Planned breaks for family carers, and our seven-day Home Again package for the first week back from hospital.

What we do not do

We do not provide personal care: help with washing, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, eating or drinking, or looking after skin, hair, nails or teeth. If you need that, we will say so honestly at the first visit and help you find the right service. If your needs change later, we will help you find the right service then too.

What it costs

A personalised quote, agreed before we start.

Every person’s week is different, so we give you a clear written quote after your free home assessment, with nothing to pay until you have agreed it. There is no VAT to add and no minimum contract. We invoice every two weeks and you can pay by bank transfer, card or direct debit. You have a 14-day right to cancel any new agreement.

Minimum standard visit 60 minutes; medication and welfare visits 30 minutes. Visits cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged unless the cancellation is due to hospital admission or bereavement.

Paying for support

Direct Payments and self-funders welcome.

If you receive a Direct Payment or Personal Budget from Kent, Bexley or Bromley, you can use it to buy our support. We provide the itemised monthly invoices and records your council needs.

If you pay for yourself, there is no minimum contract and you can stop with seven days’ notice.

Areas we cover

Swanley, Hextable, Crockenhill, Dartford and Sevenoaks in Kent, and the London Borough of Bexley including Sidcup, Bexleyheath and Welling.

Ask about other areas nearby; we grow our area carefully so that visits stay punctual and reliable.
